Updated eligibility criteria for HFAP Stroke Certification

The Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) has recently updated its eligibility criteria for Primary Stroke Center Certification. Following the guidelines set forth by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, along with the Brain Attack Coalition, in general, most Acute Care Hospitals are eligible to apply for Primary Stroke Center Certification offered by HFAP. Critical Access Hospitals may be eligible for certification if they meet the Primary Stroke Center Certification requirements.
